Welcome to NatureScope. My name is Ken Ramos and this is my personal web page. I invite you to browse around and see what marvelous things I have found in the world of macro and microphotography.
I live in Western North Carolina, in the county of Rutherford. Western North Carolina is among one of the most biologically diverse areas in the United States. My images and what I have to say about them, stem from my own observations. However, I do delve into the research of others to fully understand that which I have found and photographed.
It is my desire that you find this site informative as well as entertaining. You will not be subjected to a lot of scientific "jargon" but will have the material presented in laymans terms as much as possible, so that all can come to an understanding of what is being presented here. However there will be times when scientific names and other technical terms may have to be used. My apologies.
If you have any comments or constructive suggestions, please place them on the Message Board or contact me kenramos@bellsouth.net and I will be most happy to hear from you and will attempt to the best of my ability to answer any questions that you may have. My expertise in the study of the biological sciences, are only in that of an amateur. So as I attempt to learn about the natural world around me, so can you.
